What is Muscle
Fitness?
Fitness is a generic
term which regroup a lot of categories and sub-categories, and muscle
and fitness is specific to the development of your muscles size and
strength. It involves some weights and resistance training.
Fitness Definitions:
Let's start here by
giving a
little definition of some terms which aren't that easy to diferenciate
and understand.
I am sure
you
already heard
about these, but the difference is not so obvious: Fitness,
Bodybuilding, Cardio-Training, and Aerobic. It will be
enough to get started.
- Fitness: It is a generic term, that is
less
scary than
bodybuilding (you think of too much efforts...). It takes the same
exercises as musculation, but without weights or few weights. It is
between Bodybuilding & Cardio-Training.
- Bodybuilding: It consists in developing
the
musculature of
the body through physical exercise (Weight Training), and specific
types of diet.
- Cardio-Training: All sportive
activities named
endurance,
like walking, jogging, cycling
, swimming... it develop endurance and cardiac development.
- Aerobic: Aerobic literally means "with
oxygen", and refers
to the use of oxygen in muscles' energy-generating process. It is the
opposite of Anaerobic. e.g: jogging = aerobic / sprint = anaerobic.
- Stretching: exercise designed to extend
the
limbs and
muscles to their full extent.
- Exercise: the activity of exerting your
muscles
in various
ways to keep fit.

having strong muscles is primordial for your daily activities and it
will help you to prevent injuries, and protect your joints. Don't you
want to have powerful muscles and lift heavy objects, or even play with
your children more than 2 minutes, carry them without feeling exhausted
after that? You will be able to do some activities longer, like
walking, running, enjoy life...
Muscle and
fitness will
bring you so much benefits that you will not be able to live without
doing exercise once you taste that. Beware of Physical
Fitness addiction.
The main idea
behind muscle and fitness is to maintain muscle tone while you build
lean muscles and burn calories and fat.
These are some
of the
different element of muscle fitness program:
- Endurance: Better endurance and develop
power.
- Mass Gain: Increase your muscles size
and be like Shwarzi.
- Weight Loss: diet to reduce your body
fat and loose the
minimum of muscular mass.
